Another day

On a new day

I saw a wayward wanderer

Alone on an open road

All he had was hope

With a life built on suspense

Anxious and optimistic

A worn out story teller

Holding on to his convictions

A creation of faint faith

The faith that his burden ‘ll be lighter

And though even a blind man can see

That on a meager pay it’s hard for a man make a life

Still he holds on

Never gives up

In the wake of the night

Through the thin wooden walls I hear him

He says thank you Lord for another day

And for my family

And I pray that you give me strength for another day.
